I have been a nurse for over 25 years and have been providing therapy for most of my nursing career. I have a Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus in Mental Health and Addictions. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Grief Counseling, Flash, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, Tapping), Meditation, Mindfulness, Havening and Expressive Journaling. I believe that my nursing background adds to the therapy experience as I apply a mind-body approach and the biopsychosocial model to the work that I do.

I meet clients where they are, using a trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach.  I strive to work with clients to find therapeutic techniques and solutions that the client is comfortable and confident with, while using holistic and compassionate care.  I believe that the client-therapist relationship is a collaborative relationship where we can safely explore strengths and work on growth, healing, recovery and wellness.  It is an honour and privilege to work with clients and have them place their trust in me as their therapist.

This is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please call 911, or your local crisis line.
